The ACTI Maxial Track Hoist Training Program is designed to equip operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate, inspect, and maintain the Maxial Track Hoist. This training aligns with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) regulations, CSA standards, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and workplace safety.

Participants will learn to identify hoist components, perform pre-use inspections, operate the hoist safely, and follow maintenance procedures. The course covers load handling, wire rope management, control systems, and emergency response protocols.

  • Legislation & Standards: Understanding OH&S regulations, CSA standards, and employer responsibilities.
  • Hoist Components & Functions: Identifying key parts such as the motor, brake, drum, control system, and wire rope.
  • Pre-Use Inspection: Checking wire rope integrity, load hooks, electrical connections, and mounting stability.
  • Safe Hoist Operation: Understanding lifting capacity, track system configurations, and proper load handling.
  • Wire Rope Management: Lubrication, tensioning, and damage prevention.
  • Track System Installation: Securing the hoist to scaffolding, I-beams, and other approved structures.
  • Emergency Procedures: Responding to hoist malfunctions, load failures, and power outages.
  • Routine Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing periodic inspections, adjusting brakes, and diagnosing operational issues.
